Q:Not that you care about any of your followers and Homestuck, you punk bitch, but the epilogue came out/is coming out. Seriosuly, why did you drop off the face of the planet? Get back to reading and finish this thign already.
The bargain is fulfilled. I have finished Homestuck, as I swore I would six (SIX?!?) years ago. I will not be making a video or blog on it for the forseeable future, as I am too mad to even contemplate such a thing. Homestuck is trash, and I hold nothing but disdain for Andrew Hussie.
Q:You say nah but it's been over a week since that ask and all your stuff is still unlisted as well for whatever reason.
i said nah, not soon. i’m hopeful to have something up by…christmas? we’ll see
Q:So, is the liveblog dead?
nah
Q:it's kind of funny to me to see you wretch when shipping comes up in Homestuck since in your earlier videos you accepted and even seemed to like it. Especially with ho big a deal shipping is in the fandom itself.
Relationships (not necessarily romantic in nature) are an important part of any story. They’re basically one of two or three fundamental building blocks of a story, in fact. I suppose if we had to assign a name to all three, we could call them “Plot”, “Characters”, and “Relationships”. In any story, you have to prioritize one or two of these, and de-emphasize two or one. Homestuck promised itself as big on the first two. That’s the webcomic I signed up for. That’s also not what Act 6 has delivered.
Characters are basically a lost cause for Act 6, because we’re starting with all new characters two thirds of the way into the story. There’s just not enough time to develop them properly. The plot is basically treading water. The main bits of A6 are essentially what we already saw the real kids (and that really is how I refer to the Beta squad in my mind, the real kids) do. The intermissions push the plot along a bit, when they’re not taking 5 hours to introduce 12 more fucking trolls. And it’s taking for-fucking-ever. In act 6, we’ve basically taken three times as long to tell a quarter as much (far less compelling) story as A1-5, covering a time period over a thousand times longer (3 years/1 day).
A6 was a mistake. It’s the Naruto: Shippuden of Homestuck. A huge, huge mistake in no uncertain terms, unless Andrew pulls a serious rabbit out of his box hat in coming act acts. I will finish this story, god help me, one way or another. Eventually.
Q:Just a heads up for you Foal, in your next video or maybe the one after depending on how long it is, you may be getting yourself into the craziest shit in Homestuck, probably. So just a warning on that. It's not that long, nowhere near as bad as the slog you had with the Pre-Scratch trolls (I like them) But if you felt the need to stop and take another break again (wouldn't blame you) if you stopped at the beginning of it, you could finish it all in one video or maybe 2 or 3 written posts.
…I’m scared.
This is a truly stupid amount of asks.
In reverse chronological order (newest, and likely most relevant first):
You Don’t Have to Put on the Red Light

Of course the ring literally turns you invisible. We haven’t really had a solid LOTR refrance yet, it’s about time.
Lalonde Reunion!

It’s happening!! And a whole year ahead of schedule. Calliope seems upset, though.
Here, have this as compensation.
Q:Holy shit you have a Vive? What's it like?
It’s great! I’ve thought occasionally about making some videos of using it, but then I’d really be a “youtuber”, and I’m not sure I can take that leap without needing a shower.
I am such a dope. I didn’t think to check OBS settings in that video and it recorded using my Vive’s microphone, which is sitting halfway across the room. No amount of boosting will make it sound better, unfortunately. I guess you’ll just have to imagine what the commentary is!
Just have faith in me and assume it was very entertaining as always.
